Arena League Round 2: NDSC Shine with Strong Second-Place Finish

Newbury District Swimming Club continued their impressive Arena League campaign with a fantastic second-place finish in Round 2 at Hart Leisure Centre, Fleet, on Saturday night.

Competing in Division Two West of the Arena League South, Newbury showed great determination and team spirit throughout the evening, finishing just behind hosts Hart Swimming Club and narrowly ahead of Dorking by two points.

It was another thrilling night of racing for NDSC, with strong swims across all age groups and plenty of support from teammates and spectators alike. The atmosphere on poolside was buzzing — quite literally — as the team brought their horns and cheers to make sure their presence was heard (we hope everyone’s ears have now recovered!).

“A fantastic night of team spirit and outstanding racing from the whole team! Thanks to all who took part, TM’s and volunteers — super proud of our NDSC crew!”

The result builds on the momentum from Round 1 and puts Newbury in a strong position heading into the final round of the league next month.
