Masters Swimmers Make Waves at National Championships
Two of our masters swimmers, Dave Milburn and Kelli Jannaway, had a successful weekend at the short course Masters National Championships at Ponds Forge. Dave dominated the breaststroke events, claiming gold in the 200m and 50m breaststroke, and silver in the 100m breaststroke. The competition was fierce, with the top four swimmers in Dave's age group finishing within 0.7 seconds of each other in the 50m breaststroke.
Kelli also had an impressive showing, achieving personal bests in several events, including a year-best time in the 50m butterfly and a two-year best in the 100m freestyle. Her results included 7th place in the 50m butterfly, 8th place in the 100m freestyle, 6th place in the 50m backstroke, and 9th place in the 50m freestyle.
We're thrilled to see our masters swimmers excel at the national level, and congratulate Dave and Kelli on their outstanding performances!
